"I remember going to see my dad play, and the look on his face while on stage...the lights, the cheering...I want that. I want to make people feel the way he did when he played."

Ricardo Lorenzo Dalton, Sr. (Rozetta Marie's dad), was a jazz musician. He played for many greats, but the one that stood out in Rozetta Marie's mind was Betty Carter. Her dad would take the family to see him play every so often and this fascinated her to the point where she knew exactly what she wanted to be when she grew up...a performer.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Rozetta Marie was first recruited by the National Dance Institute and performed in modern theatrical dance at venues such as Madison Square Garden and Lincoln Center under the instruction of the late, great Jacques D' Amboise.
It wasn't until High School that she realized her talent to sing and formed a duet with her best friend Nikki Brown called Shades of Innocence, then went solo soon after High School. Rozetta Marie used everything she learned from all of her prior industry experience and her dad, who retired from the business by that time, and started making her own way in the industry as a solo Pop/R&B artist. Her persistence, dedication and tenacity afforded her many great opportunities such as singing for major productions in the background chorus at Lincoln Center, opening up for major Artists such as Vicki Winans and Houdini, and was casted as the lead vocalist for an Off-Broadway play "Gospel of the Harlem Renaissance" directed by the late, great Titus Walker of the Ujamma Black Theatre. Rozetta Marie's alto voice can be matched with no other. Her spicy, seductive Panamanian flow mixed with all of her Gemini characteristics shows immensely in her versatile style, as she makes you want to dance, fall in love again, cry, fight, laugh, and everything else in between.
Rozetta Marie's music awarded her an article/review in Music Connection Magazine, radio spins, and her single Work That Body on the We Have Arrived Compilation album released late 2015.
Looking forward to even greater opportunities, Rozetta Marie is ready to take over the world! Her newest single, Caged Animal is only the beginning of what she has to offer. She represents #GeminiLife to the fullest, not only in her life but in her music as well. "Neglect not the gift that is in thee..." words that she lives by. Rozetta Marie is destined for greatness and won't stop until she fulfills every goal!
